CAZE announces World’s Slimmest Frame Case for iPhone 4

CAZE Today released ThinEdge ThineEdge adds just a millimeter in thickness to the sides of the iPhone 4. It fits tightly around the edges of the iPhone 4 and protects its sides by protruding slightly above the front screen & back glass and can address the antenna concern. The result leaves the back and front fully exposed visually, but shielded against scratches. It is made of GRILAMID(R) TR-90 which is a plastic polymer commonly used in the creation of sport and other impact-resistant eyewear frames. TR-90-made products are lightweight, remarkably tough, highly flexible, shatterproof and highly resistant to UV damage. An edge connector is provided for fastening the frame case and personalizing the iPhone 4. Each case comes with two different colored connectors.

ThineEdge is easy to install. Its anti-slip property gives the iPhone 4 more grip on surfaces. Easy access to all phone functions without having to remove the case. It has complete access to all the main ports and buttons of the device. Charging has also never been easy since you do not have to remove the case.

FrightBox possesses iPhones just in time for Halloween

SKH Apps today is pleased to announce its frightening new app, ‘FrightBox‘. Boasting to be one of the scariest apps available on iTunes, this app combines dark, gloomy visuals, a slew of eerie sound effects and two chilling features: ‘Possessed’ mode and ‘FrightCall’. This unique iPhone app is sure to scare.

Upon opening the app, you are immediately presented with the ‘demons’ sound effects page. After pressing any of the buttons, you quickly find that these are not the ordinary, silly Halloween effects you often hear, but more on the line of sounds you would find in today’s popular horror films. Swiping the screen provides several pages of alarming sounds including zombies, ghosts, screams and more.

Along with the sound effects, you can find two special buttons on the front page. One labeled ‘Possessed’ and the other ‘FrightCall’. At first pressing the ‘Possessed’ appears to do nothing, but after a few seconds your iPhone begins randomly vibrating and spewing creepy sound effects. This continues alternating between silence and scary sounds until the button aptly labeled ‘Exorcise” is pressed. Pressing the ‘FrightCall’ button begins a short countdown timer. Once the timer runs out, a call screen opens as if you are receiving an incoming call. The phone continues to ring displaying the caller’s name as ‘devil’. Once answered, unnerving voices come through from the earpiece. The ‘FrightCall’ effect is extremely realistic and sure to surprise unsuspecting victims.

iPhone 4 82% higher screen damage rate than 3GS?

Specifically, iPhone 4 owners reported 82-percent more damaged screens in the first 4 months, compared to iPhone 3GS owners. The company is also not entirely impressed with the aluminosilicate glass, which they reckon “doesn’t seem any less likely to break than previous models.”

At least a quarter of the broken glass claims involved the back panel, SquareTrade says, and the company is projecting accident rates of 15.5-percent by twelve months after purchase. Of course, as a warranty company it’s perhaps in SquareTrade’s best interests to be ominous about the figures, but with over 20,000 handsets covered you do have to wonder if there’s still something to it all.

Electric Pocket Releases Major Update to MailTones for iPhone

MailTones, by Electric Pocket, enables iPhone users to change the email alert tone and set different tones for email messages, based on information about the sender or message subject. The company has just released an update to MailTones with even more tones to choose from and a polished, more professional look with full support for retina screen displays.

MailTones on iPhone has been a big hit, especially among professionals who now have a way of using rule-based email filters popular on more messaging-centric smartphone platforms. This capability enables users to distinguish high priority emails from their boss or spouse or receive custom “pager style” alerts to messages which require immediate attention. The app enables users to set a tone for a specific contact, or one for all incoming emails from a specific domain – making it easy to recognize incoming emails from work colleagues or customers. MailTones can also filter and provide custom tones for messages which include specific words in the Subject line.

MailTones now comes with a collection of 60 tones ranging from discrete bells to more audacious horns and buzzers. Many users find it useful to set their default mail tone to silent, or ignore, and use MailTones to set specific tones for higher priority people and subjects.

Foodmatic 1.0 – Fun iPhone App helps users eat better, tastier food

Limit Point Software today introduces Foodmatic 1.0, an innovative new cooking application for the iPhone designed to help users eat better, tastier food. Foodmatic allows users to create delicious recipes in three easy steps:

1) Give it an ingredient or a bunch of ingredients. Foodmatic has a built-in database with hundreds of ingredients. Users can easily look up detailed information about any ingredient right from within the application.
2) Choose a suggestion. Foodmatic suggests other ingredients that would go well with those ingredients. Users can tap a suggestion to add it to their recipe.
3) Check the score. As ingredients are added, Foodmatic “scores” the recipe to let users know how good it tastes.

Foodmatic uses its built-in database and a proprietary algorithm to determine what flavors and foods go together really well. The company spent months researching common and not-so-common flavor combinations, analyzing thousands of recipes and regional cuisines, and even took into account an ingredient’s seasonal affinities to determine how well certain ingredients go with others. Foodmatic’s database and algorithm are continuously being improved and updated. The company is seeking as much user feedback as possible so that Foodmatic can become more comprehensive, more accurate, and more useful.
